FitBit Flex

So payday came around and I knew that a FitBit was going to be on the top of my list! At the moment, I'm very lucky to have no bills to pay and my car is incredibly cheap to run so I'm having a couple of months of buying whatever I want before the saving begins. FitBits cost £79.99 from their website, but I was savvy. You can buy them from boots, and as bloggers we all know what this means. 316 advantage card points in one hit. I certainly wasn't complaining! You can order to your nearest store too saving on postage and packaging...

So the FitBit itself. It's fantastic, I'm already addicted not even a month in. You can log your food and drink intake on an app. But the really interesting stuff is what the fitbit logs for you. I can see how many steps I do in a day (and working at a desk for the majority, I thought I'd be mortified about how many steps I did but luckily I'm not!). I like knowing, that although I don't always hit my target, I'm not far away at all. When I'm not as busy, this week has been crazy, I'll probably attempt to hit that target by going for a walk in the evenings!

Probably my favourite bit about the product though, is the sleep tracking. I love seeing how long I've slept for, and how often I have been awake/restless throughout the night. I have set my settings to normal rather than sensitive so it doesn't overly log and that seems to be working well for me. I am going to try and switch up my routine to see if I sleep better e.g. not touching anything electrical for an hour before I sleep, and not eating after 7.30 etc. We shall see if this makes any improvement!

Another great thing about the FitBit is that you can set an alarm. It will vibrate and wake you up, which is great if you go to work earlier than your partner does, like I will be doing come September! Its also a lot friendlier to be woken up silently rather than a blaring iphone alarm tone.

All in all, I've been so impressed with my FitBit and I don't even use it for everything it can do. You can also track your weight, or log your exercise (which I do want to do eventually). You can alter your goals so as you get fitter you might set harder exercise goals or to goals to drink more water. I'd really recommend the FitBit to anyone!

Have you got a FitBit? What do you use it for?
