Blogtober | Autumn TV Picks

Normally, I'd choose reading over watching TV any day, but recently when I come home from work I am just too tired to do anything but just be. Therefore, TV series, films and programmes have been my "go-to" in the relaxation stakes. Sitting there and watching can be so much easier than focusing on a book, as much as I love reading.

Doctor Foster

GBBO was on, I was super comfy and I just could not be bothered to move. Then Doctor Foster, Episode Two comes on the telly, and that's it, I was hooked. It is a drama currently on BBC on Wednesday, straight after Bake Off, and I have become a little bit addicted. It's easy to watch, but has a dramatic gripping storyline after a woman finds out her husband has been having an affair. I've been really enjoying this, although it is weird seeing Jodie Cromer (who played Chlo in My Mad Fat Diary) as a fully fledged adult in this film, after only ever knowing her as Rae's best friend at college. The finale wasn't as good as I was hoping, but I was pleased that she seemed happy in the end despite her husband kind of getting away with it.

Great British Bake Off

Such a popular programme, literally find me one person who hates the bake off. Nadiya has been my favourite this year, she is just so talented! The creations she has made have just been spectacular. Also, I will never ever forget Paul's bread lion, how amazing was that!? I would love to be able to bake as well as they do on this show. Plus, it is a really great excuse to buy lots of cake. I'm so sad it has now finished, but Nadiya was amazing.

Girls

I mentioned in my first Blogtober post that I had been watching this recently. The series follows four girls living in New York in their early twenties. It has made me cringe hard, and made me cry with laughter all at once. I think they have included a lot of great things too, such a friendship dramas, work problems and just coping with the real world.
