Blogtober | Things I love about Birthday Month

October is my birthday month, and I may be bias but I cannot imagine a better month to have my birthday in. I was one of the first to be able to drive, and to drink which as you can imagine is incredible when you are 18. The weather is always snug - never too hot or too cold, apart from that one year when I was around 9. It was so windy that I had to cancel my v trendy ice skating party, I was gutted obviously. Another great bonus was that I have only ever had two birthdays in Education. My tenth, and my nineteenth. I really can't complain about that one bit.

This was taken at my Disney 21st birthday! I had such a fantastic night..

In my household, we love birthdays. Especially my Dad and I. I find that birthday month is even better than other months because of numerous reasons.

One | Your actual birthday. My family, friends and Dan always make such an effort on my birthday, and I literally feel like a princess. I love being able to celebrate my birthday with people I love alot!

Two | It's my grandparents birthdays too! I love that I share a birthday with my grandad, and that my granny's birthday is the day after. It's really special - although I think my granny was kicking herself because I was born literally two hours before her special day.

Three | You have the chance to be grateful and reflect. When October comes around, I always find myself reflecting on the great things that have happened since my previous birthday, and the places where things could be improved a little bit. I love being able to reflect on the things I am grateful for, it definitely puts life into perspective.

Four | You have a permanent excuse to be positive. If I have had a bad day at work, or even a bad hour, then I will try and focus on the fact that October is a month of celebrating for me!

Five | I can set myself goals. I love setting goals, and now that I am in the "real world", I think I will be using my birthday month more to think about what I want from the next year of my life. Having goals and dreams is always a good thing, and by creating them around my birthday, it means I can reflect back on them when my next birthday hits.

An extra bonus of this birthday month is the countdown to me setting an alarm of "22" by Taylor Swift, because I have been waiting to do this since the song first came out of course. I've been waking up so early recently so I'm definitely going to have to set it extremely early just so I get the real thrill of it!

Do you like your birthday month?
